Best Kids Umbrellas
It’s not easy to corral your kid under your umbrella. That’s why we say: get him his own. Good kids umbrellas are lightweight and easy to maneuver; and they get little ones excited. So look for fun designs that speak to them and that they’ll be proud to walk around town with.
Check out the 5 kids umbrellas we absolutely love.
Outside of Band-Aids, there are few things that bring a smile to a child’s face like an umbrella. Pair it with one of their matching slickers and you’ve got yourself a cute little rain pixie.
1. Penny Scallan Design ~ $19
One of my favorite finds at this year’s baby show is the adorable line of Penny Scallan rain gear (totes, wheelie bags, etc.). Importing to the States from Australia for the first time this year, Penny Scallan has the MOST adorable gear. We love this llama print, but they have many other fun options. So you’ll be able to get one that really speaks to your kid’s interests.
2. Kidorable Kids Umbrella ~ $15
Kidorable makes playful umbrellas in 3D designs, including this cute frog option with pop-up eyes. We love the attention to details — like the handle in the shape of a frog leg.
3. Totes Kid’s Clear Bubblee Umbrella with Easy Grip Handle ~ $24
This bubble umbrella by beloved Totes is lightweight and has an extended canopy. It’s recommended for toddlers and older kids alike. We love the fun dots print, and we think your little one will too.
4. Adora Be Bright Umbrellas ~ $22
These cute umbrellas are stylish and functional and gender neutral. It comes in 5 different characters, which appear when the umbrellas get wet.
5. Hipsterkids Umbrellas ~ $20
We love Hipsterkid’s umbrellas — they’re durable, windproof and fairly wide for good coverage. Plus, it comes in some vibrant color ways, which is sure to swoon your little ones.
Get your kiddos some rain boots, and they’ll be ready to splash around on a rainy day. Let us know, what kids umbrella do you love?
Just wanted to say that the absolute best thing about the clear umbrellas (like the Totes you mention) is that little kids can see the world around them so much better! We had a non-clear umbrella and while those can be super cute in color/design, as soon as my toddler opens it up and uses it he can’t see anything above him (which is most of the world!). Makes for things like crossing the street, staying on sidewalks, waking through parking lots, and just generally staying close to Mommy very difficult. Clear umbrellas have been a major aha moment for us! We have the Totes one you mention with the dots and love it.
