Best Baby Towels and Washcloths
You will also need some bath linens: baby towels and washcloths.
Yes, you can use regular adult towels, but babies soil them so often. Something about being in warm water makes them pee/poop riiight after you take them out. You’re better off getting small bath towels that are dedicated to baby and that won’t fill up your laundry as quickly.
Newborns can grow cold very easily, so get hooded towels to keep those little noggins warm. There are a ton of hooded baby towels out there — make it easy on yourself and get a towel/washcloth combo pack.
Here are some tried and true parent faves:
Hooded Baby Bath Towels
JJ Cole Hooded Towel and Washcloth Set ~ $12
A decent quality towel and wash cloth for the price! Lots of cute prints to choose from.
Clevamama ~ $22
Clevamama makes a really neat hooded towel that protects you from getting wet. Cleva, indeed!
Land of the Wee ~ $29
This towel and washcloth set is made of 100% natural bamboo. It’s hypoallergenic and much softer than cotton and super absorbent. They added a nice touch to their pieces by lining the trim to prevent fraying. How cute, no?
Little Unicorn Hooded Towels and Wash Cloth Set ~ $35
Swoon. I (Melissa) first saw Little Unicorn’s hooded towel at the 2016 ABC Baby Show and fell in love with the quality and their beautiful prints. It’s my go-to baby shower gift that I secretly want for my own babes.
Pottery Barn ~ $29+
If you want to indulge, I highly recommend the Pottery Barn hooded towel. It’s SO thick and delicious, you won’t want to use any other towels. Have it embroidered with baby’s name and it makes a great keepsake.
Baby Washcloths
Washcloth Sets ~ $varies
Washcloths, yes get some of those too. Bamboo is both super absorbent and super soft.
Pottery Barn Washcloths ~ $12/set of 3
Soft, thick and well-made. These washcloths are my absolute favorite and will hold up after years of use… and in my (Melissa’s) case, with three children.
So there you have it, the best baby towels and washcloths. I can smell the baby shampoo already!
